The exhibit is accompanied by a documentary “The Making of … A Musical Landscape” which was shot and edited by Max Ferrer, who is a junior in high school.

A Musical Landscape is a compilation of sculptures created by middle school students during Camp Common Thread in June 2025. At the start of our camp week, students explored an array of broken instruments, donated by local shops and organizations, and sketched ideas. Then, as a group, we brainstormed how their sketch ideas fit together... or if they do. Adjustments were made, and the students got to work making their sculptures, each placed on a piece of wood, upcycled from shelves found on a street corner. Once the sculptures were near completion, we came back together to finalize the layout, placing the pieces of wood in different positions to find our "landscape".
